Rant 19: When People Talk During Films

https://i0.wp.com/www.deelip.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/121.jpg Howdy people and welcome to another instalment in my blogging rants. I can’t believe that its been almost a year since the last rant, that’s mental. with all the crazy stuff I had to deal with in 2016 I’m surprised I didn’t make a few more posts last year. But nevermind, I’m back to talk about something that’s always irked me for a long time and that is people who talk during films.

talking-in-the-cinema

Now this may not be a big deal for people who aren’t that into films but for me and many other film lovers it’s an infuriating experience. For most people films are fun to watch alone or with friends whether you’re in the cinema or at home, but when someone starts talking away during a film you have to questions things like:

  1. Why watch a film if you’re going to talk though it?
  2. If you have questions about what you’re watching, why not let the film answer those questions?

It is mainly terrible when you’re in the cinema because it is the ultimate film-watching experience and you can be in the best mood ever while being fully immersed in a great film… But then you get some selfish asshole, or multiple assholes, whether they’re teenagers, groups of loud girls or guys, annoying couples or old people, sometimes they talk too much. Children are the worst offenders because parents either bring them in because they have no baby sitters or decide to bring them into a screening for a film rated higher than their age… But sometimes it’s not just random people that can bug you, sometimes it can be your own friends and family. On numerous occasions I’ve watched films with people I know only for them to constantly ask me questions or moan about the quality of the film and it got so tedious. My mum is the worst for that, she always asks questions and just doesn’t let things play out, she’s vocal about the notable elements of a film like a bad joke, character death or a double cross, it’s especially annoying when its a film I haven’t seen before and I miss certain details. But then there was my uncle on Christmas Day, good gravy I think he may be as bad as my mum. We watched most of The Avengers and Ant-Man and had to comment on everything from the story, to character motivations to the realism and everything else, and considering that I love those films I hate to be distracted and good god it was almost impossible, and it made me wonder how much worst he’d be like if he was in the cinema. Now I have no issue with watching film with people at all, in fact I welcome it for certain times of films like comedy, horror and superhero films, but with all that bloody jibber jabber, it makes me glad that have the option to watch films alone just to avoid the distraction of people around me. In the end people respect the film watching experience and be silent unless the film wants you to make noise, if you’re talking and not paying attention to the film just get lost.

Well that’s another rant over. Hopefully this has been somewhat insightful and if you’ve had any similar experiences please be sure to comment about it in comments below. Until the next time people, laters. πŸ™‚

Rant 18: When Headphones Break

https://i0.wp.com/www.deelip.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/121.jpg Howdy people and welcome to another instalment in my blogging rants. So this is my first rant of 2016 and I didn’t think I’d have something to moan about so soon into the year, but life always happens to find a way to give me something to moan about in unexpected ways. And today I’m gonna talk about the breaking of headphones and why it sucks.

broken-headpohones-angry-man

Now this may come across as silly or miniscule when compared to other things you could rant about, but make no mistake, if you’re music lover or just like to listen stuff on your phone, computer, tablet or whatever then you know how important headphones are and how annoying it is when they break.

Headphones are primarily used for listening to stuff in confidence, like if you want to watch something on your phone or listen to music or podcast then headphones are essential. But every once in a while whether it is down to poor care or just long-term wear and tear, headphones can break and need to be replaced. And in more cases than not, they start to fail or break at the most inconvenient moments like while you’re out in the street or something like that.

Broken-headphonesAnyone who has had headphones knows this sight and knows the terror.

For me I like to listen to music on the go, I almost cannot function outside without some music in my ears. It just makes walking sessions, the journey to work or long trips on the train that much more bearable and fun. But when they break, my god, it can be such a horrible experience. I’ve had numerous sets of headphones over the years and while a good few got misplaced, most times the ear parts would break or the wires would mess up and the sound would have to break up and eventually die. Just recently I lost another set of headphones after the sound started cutting out and then died entirely while I was going to work and it was HORRIBLE, I was just in the middle of a good song session. Such a pain. Why do headphones always break when I need them the most? Useless pieces of rubbish! Maybe it is down the brand of headphone or price, but they are so important and yet are so feeble.

Well that’s another rant over. Hopefully this has been somewhat insightful and if you’ve had any similar experiences please be sure to comment about it in comments below. Until the next time people, laters. πŸ™‚

Rant 17: Being Ill Sucks!

https://i0.wp.com/www.deelip.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/121.jpg

Howdy people and welcome to another instalment in my blogging rants. It feels like ages since I’ve done of these types of posts (just over a year) so I thought it was about time I started it up again. And today’s rant will be on something that bothers me every once in a while and that’s be ill.

ill-kid

Ah illness, how I hate you. Whether you’re talking about head colds, blocked/snotty noses, chesty coughs, allergies or all of the above, having a cold just sucks ass. Find me someone in the world that enjoys being ill, trust me they don’t exist, and unless you’re a child getting out of school for a few days then its just a nightmare for anyone older. So what makes colds the worst well here’s a list:

  1. When you’ve got a blocked nose breathing is tough and you can’t smell anything
  2. If you have a blocked nose then expect to keep blowing tons of snot into loads of tissues
  3. Blocked noses make it hard to sleep as you may have a drippy nose or have trouble breathing
  4. Chesty coughs are the worst as you can never be quiet for too long as coughing is as infrequent and unwanted as sneezing
  5. The flu in some cases can sap one’s energy, make you lethargic and bedridden
  6. If you’re ill you have to try and avoid contaminating others, but if you’re clear then you have to avoid others
  7. And if you need to make appearances to see friends, go on a date, go to work or go into high school, college or university, it can be an awkward and embarrassing experience

And sometimes you can be unfortunate enough to have all of the symptoms above and have the full force of the common cold and that’s just the cherry on top of the shit sundae.

cold_symptom-picture

For me colds are terrible, when they get me they hit hard and fast. Sometimes what I think is just a runny nose or slight cough becomes a full-on flu assault, and then I’m fighting to get better. My worst cold was when I was 13, I had this terrible cough which was continuous, aggressive and disruptive, but my mum didn’t let me off school, nope, I had to endure it. And so for several weeks I was the loud and annoying kid who wouldn’t stop coughing his guts out and when I used to go to church it was even worse. I couldn’t subdue it, so I’d have to stand at th back and still be coughing so hard that my throat and chest hurt terribly. These days I get bad head colds and have a serious intake of orange juice and dissolving vitamin C tablets to rid myself of them asap. I’m currently in recovery from a cold and while I’m feeling great, I’m not counting myself completely free when I’m surrounded by illness from some people at work and my sister at home. πŸ˜›

Some people think that having a cold is nothing, that it can be walked off and if you’re a man then you’re a weakling for letting it affect you. That being said, colds affect people in different ways and if it takes you out then it takes you out, but if you can survive it then good for you. The point is, being ill is no fun. It feels terrible, annoying and puts a damper on your demeanor. 😑

Well that’s another rant over. Hopefully this has been somewhat insightful and if you’ve had any similar experiences please be sure to comment about it in comments below. Until the next time people, laters. πŸ™‚

Rant 16: I Don’t Like It When People Waste Food

https://i0.wp.com/www.deelip.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/121.jpg Howdy people and welcome to another instalment in my blogging rants. It feels like ages since I’ve done of these types of posts (just over a year) so I thought it was about time I started it up again. And today’s rant will be on something I’ve been meaning to write about for a while, and that is people who waste food and why it bothers me.

Now this is something that most people have done at one point or another (myself included) and usually it is not my choice, normally when food is wasted it is due to either not liking what you’re eating or the more common option is that you’re full and can’t finish the rest… HOWEVER! This blog post is directed at those who are self-aware, buy food and then chooses to waste it later, that’s the kind of shit that brings my piss to a boil yo!

So I’m going to present you with a few scenarios of where this kind of stuff happens.

Fast Food Places

144_051Chicken&ChipsBox-Takeaway

This is the main pet peeve when it comes to wasting food. Several times after nights out whether I’m just leaving the club and going home or leaving the house the morning after I always end up seeing boxes of chicken and chips or fish and chips or pizza just dashed on the floor. It could be half eaten, 3/4’s of the way done or completely untouched and that just bugs me. Why buy food if you’re not going to finish it? Now I’ve heard the popular argument, “Oh but if you’re drunk you may get full or not want to finish your food.” Well I have two things to say about that: 1) Know what your stomach is feeling before you buy your food! If you know you’re only a bit hungry buy a smaller portion of food or don’t buy anything at all! And 2) If you’re buying food that you can’t finish, bring it home and finish it in the morning! I know chips aren’t salvageable after a night out (don’t try microwaves or ovens, it don’t work), but with chicken, burgers, pizza or garlic bread, that stuff still tastes good in the morning. Trust me, I was a uni student and it worked just fine for me and plenty of the other people I knew.

Restaurants/Pubs

half-eaten

Since I’ve worked in establishments as waiter I’ve seen first-hand how certain customers come in, order food, barely touch it and then leave. What the hell man? Why even come out and pay for food if you’re not going to eat it? Seems so pointless. Other times they’ll get through half of it and give up. If you know you can’t finish it all, get it in a take away container when you go home, I know with pubs that’s not really an option, but with a good few restaurants that it is an option, so why not take advantage? I just don’t get people sometimes. I know you can underestimate the amount of food your stomach can handle or you can try food for the first time and not like it, but I would say just stick to what you know and be sure you can finish it.

At Home

food-waste-blog

This is a different kind of environment when it comes to wasting good. But it normally comes in the form of making food and not wanting to finish it because you’re full or experimented with flavours and ruined the food or ate some, left some for later but then left it too long to go off date. I know I have gotten rid of food I didn’t want to eat but it is mainly due to very quick expiry dates rather than making something I didn’t want to eat. I still get pissed at myself when I can’t finish food because I love to eat and I’d rather get the full value of my food eating experience.

Well that’s another rant over. Hopefully this has been somewhat insightful and if you’ve had any similar experiences please be sure to comment about it in comments below. Until the next time people, laters. πŸ™‚

Rant 15: Ash Ketchum, A Failure of a Pokemon Trainer.

https://i0.wp.com/www.deelip.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/121.jpg Howdy people and welcome to another instalment in my blogging rants. Today’s rant will be on something that I’ve wanted to talk about for quite some time over the last six months or so, and it concerns one of the biggest failures in the history of cartoons and video games… I am of course talking about Ash Ketchum, the Pokemon trainer.

50519142

Just look at this fool, he makes me angry just looking at him. 😑

So you may be wondering, why do I have such a massive beef with this little guy? Well I would like you to cast your mind back to the late 1990’s where fads were coming in left, right and center and Pokemon was the biggest thing in the history of the world. Besides the massive popularity and success of the video games and the trading cards, there was a little TV show that was probably just as big, if not bigger than the video games. This anime series focused on Ash Ketchum (pictured above), a ten-year old kid on a quest to become a Pokemon master. With his main Pokemon, Pikachu and hisΒ two friends Brock and Misty, Ash travelled all of the region of Kanto capturing Pokemon, defeating average trainers, taking on gym leaders for badges, beating up three idiotic members of Team Rocket on a regular basis. The show was made for kids and at the time it was pretty badass, to see all of the Pokemon in an animated form with voices, doing all their crazy moves and seeing Ash go on these crazy journeys it was fun, thrilling and exciting stuff. And some of us gamers had some things to say about the way in which the anime changed some of the basic elements of Pokemon Red and Blue, for the most part we liked it.

But by the time we got to Pokemon: The Johto Journeys (the thirdΒ season of the anime), I started to notice the cracks in the foundation that made Ash Ketchum a likeable character. I mean he’d made some pretty foolish decisions before but I forgave him because I knew that the adventure wasn’t over and I assumed he would improve, however it was at this point I was like, “Dude what are you actually doing? Are you some kind of fool?” And unfortunately as time went on my respect for this boy declined more and more. By the time Pokemon: Advanced came around I was pretty much hanging on by a thread, the guy had come so far and yet still didn’t seem like he learnt anything plus he’d gotten rid of all his cool Pokemon for some really boring ones from the Ruby and Sapphire series. And when I had a look at the Black and White and saw that Ash was still chasing the same dream but was by no means any better of trainer than anything I had done in several of the games I had played, I knew that he was pretty much a failure.

Let’s just look at facts. Ash Ketchum wants to be come a be the ultimate Pokemon trainer and succeed at everything, but he’s so many things wrong like:

  • Ash doesn’t have basic battle tactics and still doesn’t use type advantages properly
  • The guy gets rid of most his good Pokemon after he changes region which is idiotic and not becoming of a person who wants to become a Pokemon master
  • Also if Ash wants to be a Pokemon master then why isn’t he trying to complete his Pokedex? The guy runs into so many Pokemon, especially rare ones and never catches one. FOOL!
  • The guy loses, A LOT and it isn’t because he fights really hard, but more because of rookie mistakes

Ash Ketchum started his adventure in 1997 and 18 series later he’s still trying to do what all of us in the video game world have done several times over across 6 generations of portable video games.

44932520

Now those of us that have played the Pokemon games we have captured, battled and trained our Pokemon and completed everything and yet this prick, Ash Ketchum can’t even advance past the first Pokemon League in the first season. Weak. But what makes it even worse is that the game equivalent of Ash known as Red from Gold and Silver who you find in Mt. Silver is a beast! He pretty much has most of Ash’s Pokemon in their max evolutions (besides Pikachu) and their all in the 80’s, he’s a dangerous man if you’re not prepared… He is more of a man and a trainer then that Ash Ketchum will ever be.

Bloody hell just talking about Ash pisses me off. Over the years he has just gotten worse and worse.. I have re-watched some of his older adventures and it is his whole attitude, the way he battles, the type of Pokemon he’s collected, his lack of progression, everything about this boy screams of failure! And what makes him even more of a failure is that after watching Red’s performance in Pokemon: Origins he accomplished in a 4-part OVA what Ash has been doing for how many seasons of the main anime show. He sucks. Period.

So if you think that Ash is such a hero, just look at the following images:

Red+vs+Ash_c0bdd7_4840858 K6JEilw red_fans_made_ash_ketchum_cry_by_newsuperdannyzx-d7c1qm6

Well that’s it really. I hope this has been an insightful rant and if you’ve had any similar experiences please be sure to comment about it in comments below. Until the next time people, laters. πŸ™‚

Rant 14: I Hate Being Inconvenienced

https://i0.wp.com/www.deelip.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/121.jpg Howdy people and welcome to another instalment in my blogging rants. Today’s rant will be on something that has bothered me for years but has only become realised since coming to university. I am of course talking about being inconvenienced.

Let’s face it, everyone loves life when things are going their way. And the way I see it, that only applies to rich people, those who have no worldly possessions or old people who have nothing left to do because they’ve lived their lives already. Everyone else has to face some setbacks here and there and while it’s been argued that life isn’t life if there isn’t at a bit of struggle, the kind of inconvenience I’m talking about are the little things, those tiny elements that can ruin a mood or mess with your entire schedule. I hate that shit. So today I’m gonna provide you with some scenarios I’ve dealt with and tell you how they’ve disrupted me.

Okay let’s begin.

People Walking

walking_image_cropped

Yes believe or not, I get pissed off with the way some people walk as that can become an inconvenience on a near-daily basis. Now I live my life by a little quote I made since coming to uni which is “Step correct.” And it means is exactly what it is said, but if that doesn’t help here’s a better explanation. Basically when you’re walking in the street be smart about it, step swiftly, don’t stop abruptly in front of someone, don’t move in slow motion and delay people behind you, avoid unnecessary body contact, if you see an opening in front of you slip through ahead and if you’re at a traffic light crossing and there are no cars, THEN CROSS THE DAMN ROAD! You know stuff like that. You can’t imagine how many times I’ve cruised through streets and town centres and have constantly been pissed off by the people around me. Maybe I’m just an aggressive walker lol.

Public Transportation

public-transport

Whether it be buses or trains, public transportation just screams “inconvenience” at one point or another. It is the small things like when your bus/train comes late when you expected it to be on time or when you have to get on-board and it is full of people and there’s no avoiding it or when the bus/train makes unnecessary/unexpected stops. Sometimes it’s just a random accident or something to do with the weather, but then you have to ask yourself “Why did this have to happen to me today?” Many a time that has happened to me primarily on trains, and it sucked.

Weather (Mainly Snow)

ImageGen.ashx

Oh weather, how you love to mess with people and change whenever you want, you asshole. I don’t normally complain about the weather unless rain is involved or something far worse… Snow. For me, all I’ll ever need weather-wise is the sun and a bit of wind from time to time. That’s it. Rain is just wet and puts a downer on the day, plus any activities you wish to do outside when the rain is involved gets cancelled like playing football, doing picnics, chilling in the park, etc. The same rule applies to snow, but it is amplified by 10 times. Snow just messes with travel whether you’re on foot, in a car or taking public transport, it just causes delays or shuts nearly everything down completely. Sometimes the weather can be the biggest inconvenience ever and it just pisses me off to the highest degree!

University

graduation cap diploma isolated on a white background

When it comes to education that should never be considered an inconvenience, however, any college or university student can tell you that sometimes it can be a hindrance more so than a helpful experience. For all the knowledge gained, sometimes you don’t actually learn a lot and if you have other things going on in your life like having a job or if you travel a lot because you live away from home or have a massive social life, then uni will eat away at your time. And then there are points when uni throws you several projects your way at once which means you have to try to manage your time overall multiple modules, all of which require your attention because they are very important to your final grade. This leads to unnecessary stress, procrastination and decision-making that feels more complicated than it should be.

Well, that’s it really. I hope my ramblings have been insightful and if you’ve had any similar experiences please be sure to comment about it below. Until the next time people, laters. πŸ™‚

Apparently The Cast For The Fantastic Four Have Been Confirmed!

Howdy ladies and gents, time for an important news update in the world of comic book films. For the longest time now I and a number of fans have been worried about the upcoming Fantastic Four film set to come out in 2015. At first it was great when Josh Trank was signed on to direct, been the casting rumours started, the internet set ablaze with controversy spreading left right and center and with the recent story synopsis rumours floating around, that hasn’t done anything to dampen the fire.

Now according to some sources 20th Century Fox have confirmed the cast for the film and the end result has confirmed our worst nightmares.

The following news story comes from the ever-reliable superherohype:

First-Family

Twentieth Century Fox has cast Marvel’s First Family! Jamie Bell, Michael B. Jordan, Kate Mara and Miles Teller are Josh Trank’sΒ The Fantastic Four.Β TheWrapΒ broke the news, confirming months of rumors surrounding the involvement of Jordan, Mara and Teller and were the first to name Jamie Bell as the studio’s choice for Ben Grimm, aka The Thing. Bell seems to be the only one without an official offer on the table, but it is very much expected that he will be confirmed by the studio shortly.

Teller will play Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic), Mara will be Sue Storm (The Invisible Woman), Jordan is set to play Johnny Storm (The Human Torch) and Bell (likely through motion-capture) would be Ben Grimm (The Thing). Previous reports have suggested that Trank’s iteration of the story also involves Dr. Victor Von Doom, so expect more casting onΒ The Fantastic FourΒ very soon.

Filming onΒ The Fantastic FourΒ is expected to begin in Baton Rouge this March. Josh Trank will direct the big screen adaptation, which is currently set for release on June 19, 2015.”

Jesus Christ. Where to begin. You know how you have that sneaking suspicion in your mind that you about bad things before they happen, well that was my feeling about the casting for this film. I woke up this morning to see this official news story and to be honest I kind of flipped out. It seems like the casting for comic book films is getting more and more bizarre in the last 3 years. I think film studios are actually doing this on purpose to get a rise out of the fans. I mean look at Warner Bros. and their casting on Man of Steel 2, first the internet blew up about Ben Affleck, then Gal Gadot and just recently Jesse Eisenberg. Now 20th Century Fox are playing the same game and to be honest if they wanted to get attention, they bloody well accomplished that job.

Okay let’s talk about this casting a little bit. In a way I had a feeling that some of these people would be cast, mainly Michael B. Jordan and Miles Teller. From all the casting rumours surrounding them I could only assume that they’d been chosen already. Jordan has been talked about for this role for around a year and since no one else was in the running I feared the worst and now it has come true. Now I love Jordan as an actor, he’s great, but him as the Johnny Storm is just so random. Miles Teller, I never seen any of his work as far as I know and he doesn’t really have the look of a Reed Richards. And Jamie Bell, another good another good actor, but not sure if he fits the profile for Ben Grimm. The only person I’m down with is Kate Mara, she seems like a capable actress to take on Sue Storm.

The main reason why this bugs me so much is because of the radical changes going on. Why do the FF team seem so young? Why did have to change the race of one of the main characters? What is the thought process behind these kinds of decisions?

Now I am all for change in the world of comic book film adaptations, it has been happening a lot in the last 6 years, but for me there has to be a reason why these changes are being made and I don’t see it. Are the public that bored with seeing average-aged actors portraying comic book characters? Is Johnny Storm that dull of a character that we have to change his race to make him relevant? Or is someone gonna give me the argument that “Oh we live in 2014, times are different let’s embrace change.” To that I say bullshit. If something wasn’t broken to begin with why change it up now? It baffles me to no end.

I hate to rant so heavily because I’m not a massive comic book purist, that being said there is a magic and sense of wonder to seeing great adaptations of your favourite childhood characters getting their own live-action film and if that adaptation blows, it hurts. I don’t want this film to suck, I actually want an amazing film, but this casting has really bothered me. This film is gonna have to do something incredible to win me over and if it does succeed I will gladly take back anything I said about it. RoboCop proved me wrong, the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is shifting my opinion too, so there may be hope. But as of right now I’m not down for this.

Now I open the floor to you, what do you think of this news? Are you down with the casting or are you disappointed. Also do you agree with my opinion or do you think I’m dead wrong, comment below yo.

Rant 13: Why’s it So Hard For Some People To Just Be Friendly?

https://i0.wp.com/www.deelip.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/121.jpg Howdy people and welcome to another instalment in my blogging rants. Today’s rant wasn’t initially gonna be a rant but the more I thought about the issue, the more it started to annoy me. So today I’ll be talking about those annoying people in the world that aren’t forthcoming and make themselves hard to befriend. Now I know that not everybody is as willing to make contact with other people and be super friendly like me, however if someone is trying to make the effort to talk to you, perhaps even be your friend, the least you could do is be nice and acknowledge them. I’ve seen it many times, you approach people with a friendly, happy-go-lucky attitude and there will be one of several outcomes:

  1. They’re actually nice and will talk to you.
  2. They’ll hesitantly talk to you (though you see that they’re not entirely comfortable)
  3. They’ll pretend to be nice and then act differently around you later or talk about ya behind your back.

All of those situations I have listed have happened to me and I honestly hate that shit. I can’t believe how cruel, insensitive and immature some people can be. I mean extending a hand of friendship is not bad thing, if anything it should be embraced, but for some people it’s the hardest thing ever.

The reason I bring this up is because recently I went on a trip to London in group with several people I’d eventually be working with, so I attempted to be friendly, talked to a few people and was just my quirky, jolly old self. Some took to me okay, some liked me and others weren’t so keen. However what I found was that there was a few people who I’d befriended, and then heard them talking smack about me behind my back, though I could hear them from a distance. And that’s the kind of stupid, immature shit that I can’t stand.

157030582teaser

There are those sneaky bastards who pretend to be nice, but are really fakers and that kind of behaviour is so unacceptable yo.

To add to deceit, on the next occasion when we saw each other a few days later, these people didn’t even talk to me, they saw me, looked me in the face and walked on by. WHAT THE HELL MAN!?! I don’t understand how some people’s minds work. How can some run around being so deceitful and play with people’s emotions? Can’t stand that kind of shit. Since when was I so repulsive that people would have to do such petty things to me? Well whatever I guess I’m just gonna have to get over it and learn to work with these people for the sake of teamwork and the future of my finances.

Rant 12: WORST. TRAIN. JOURNEY. EVER!

https://i0.wp.com/www.deelip.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/121.jpg

Howdy people and welcome to another instalment in my blogging rants. It’s been a while with since the last rant and things have been good for a while, but yesterday I experienced what can only be described as the worst train journey in existence. So now I’m gonna regale my story to you today.

verspaetung

Waiting for trains is a pain in the ass, but being stuck on one is even worst.

So yeah yesterday my sister and I were meant to head off to London to meet my uncle in London and watch Man of Steel with hid friends and my cousins. We caught out our train after 6pm and we were on-route, however after we got to St. Albans the train driver said that our train was gonna be delayed due to signalling problems at St. Pancras and since there were a few trains ahead of us we couldn’t move until we got the go ahead from the St. Pancras to move forward. To say that I was annoyed was an understatement, but I thought we’d get out of this just around time… Oh how wrong I was.

So yeah the train eventually started moving again but then stop at another station and the train driver stated that again due to signalling problems and the trains ahead of us we had to stop again. He apologized again and said that when he’d get new information he’d let us know. Me and my sister were pissed off. I was still living in hope… Until it happened another THREE TIMES! We only moved ahead one station at a time and with every minute that went by it got closer and closer to that screening time for Man of Steel. Sitting there on the train with no way to tell when you’re gonna move or not was horrible and was slowly driving me insane.

Eventually by the time it got to around 7.45pm I just decided to give up on the film. Me and my sister live by a serious code of conduct when it comes to watching films in the cinema. Basically we never like to get a cinema screening late, EVER and be bash people who do come in late. We never want to fall in that trap. So after a lot of debate, since we’d seen the film already we chose to go to Camden Town and eat instead and catch up with my uncle later on.

In the end we got into St. Pancras around 8pm and I just thought that it wouldn’t be worth us trying to rush over only to show up over half an hour into the film. So yeah not even worth the effort.

Now granted if we had left earlier like my sister had wanted then we wouldn’t have been in that situation, but there’s no way I could have foreseen that load of bullshit. Train delays have always been troublesome but I’ve never experienced them until yesterday and holy crap does it suck, especially when you’re stuck on the train and have no means of escape.

After yesterday I know to NEVER take chances with the train service ever again! RANT OVER! XD

My Little Internet Problem

Howdy people, time for me to do a little mini update/rant about my current status with the internet. Now the internet is something I use A LOT and while I can live without it if I’m watching loads of TV, playing video games or chilling at the cinema then I’m fine. But annoyingly when its taken away from me I freak out and then become useless as so much of what I do these days revolve around it. So imagine my surprise last week to find that the internet in my house way gone!

This is how I feel about the internet when it’s gone.

So yeah I was chilling in my house the other day just watching stuff on YouTube and playing games, I think I went to check a gaming website for help on Metroid: Zero Mission, but the page wouldn’t load. I tried reloading the page, nothing happened. Then I saw the internet logo in the corner said there was no signal. So then I went downstairs to see that the modem and cables had been removed! Noooooooooooooooooo! Luckily I had games play and videos to watch but I felt terrible. And since then I’ve had to deal with using my phone’s internet and travelling to other people’s houses for my internet needs.

This was my reaction when I found out about my internet’s disappearance.

Now technically it is partially me and my mate’s fault for not paying him recently for the internet bill (because he’s the one who deals with it), however he’s never been bothered about our long-term payments. Plus both me and my housemate have been in shit financial situations with our landlord for ages, he knows this, so for him to just run away with the internet in such a shady fashion is really ugly of him. Butt you know what I say fuck it. Let him have the internet, me and my boys will be in a newΒ house in around 5 weeks so as long as I have mates in the area who has internet I can borrow I’ll be good yo.

So what does this mean for my blog? Well as you know in addition to doing film reviews I’ll also be doing my Month of Superhero Film Reviews starting June 1st, so this may get a little tricky not having internet and all but heck we’ll give it a try. Just don’t be surprised if there’s some hiccups along the way yo. πŸ˜›
