My Recent Trip To Canada

Hello there to allow my fellow followers and to the people of the internet in general. How’s it goin? Anyway you may have noticed a lack in activity on this blog and there’s a reason, basically I was abroad in Canada visiting family, and while I was able to post about E3 this year, since I wasn’t in the UK I couldn’t do much in the way of reviews. So since I’m back in the UK adjusting back to normal life I thought I’d do a short blog post about the highlights of my trip. πŸ™‚

Catching Up With Family And Friends

One of the main reasons I wanted to go back was to visit my family over there. You see my uncle got married out there 11 years ago and meet my family in-law and their friends. Even though my uncle and his family have come back on a few occasions in recent years, I haven’t seen everyone else for the better part of a decade, and so while I didn’t see everybody, just catching up with people and seeing what’s changed and what’s remained the same, but also being able to have more adult conversations was fabulous. We did so much from playing laser tag and riding a flight simulator over Canada to chilling out playing video games and watching films, it was a delightful mix of excitement and relaxing stuff. πŸ˜€

Eating Food

One of the things I loved about my holiday from the first day was the food, I love me some good food and thankfully my auntie wanted to take me, my cousin and sister to all of these different asian food places and we tried so much, from Japanese to Vietnamese to Korean and so much more and there was so much diversity when it came to the meat, seafood and vegetables. For the most part I ate a combination of stuff that was interesting, stuff I liked and stuff I didn’t know I would love, it was fabulous. I ate everything from pizza and burgers to curry to steak and lobster to fried squid to sushi and shrimp and so much more. I was so full on a good few of these days and I probably ate more in the first week than I;d had in the few weeks that came before the holiday. At times it was a little too much but I powered through as much as I could and I think I did a damn good job. πŸ˜›

Drinks

Man I enjoyed the drinks in Vancouver. One thing I never got to do last time I was abroad was drink alcohol because I was 2 years below the age limit, so funnily enough my auntie and uncle were keen for us to try all of the different alcoholic beverages the restaurants had to offer, as well as the stuff they had at home and it was a hella fun session. From beers to sake to various cocktails and other mixtures, I had a lovely session. At times it got a little too crazy and I got buzzed on a few occasions, but since we never went out things never got too out of had. But I have to admit, there’s a lot of drinks over there that I. Beyond the alcohol, I had a good few interesting soft drinks whether they were tea, certain juices or fizzy drinks, the types of drinks were much more varied and experimental when compared to what we have in the UK and I need more of that stuff.

Sightseeing

Vancouver is one beautiful place, and when I left there back in 2007 I could still recall all of the wonderful sights I’d seen. But good gravy it was great to go back! From the time I got into the airport to being in Metrotown to Stanley Park, I got to revisit places I hadn’t seen since i was a teenager. Plus there was everything new that I got to see and experience, I love the buzz and energy of Granville, I could walk around that place for ages, admiring the tall buildings, looking at the locations used for filming in certain film and TV shows and checking out the buskers among other things. I also went to my first football match ever in Canada (random I know), and that was awesome because the atmosphere was electric, I loved the chanting, the national anthems and even the opposing team faking all of their injuries haha. Oh and there’s this kick ass place I went to called the Stormcrow which was this awesome full of nerdy stuff like posters, props, masks, and board games from video games and sci-fi and fantasy films and TV. It was delightful.

Meeting Max Landis

And finally we have what could be considered the highlight of my holiday; meeting Max Landis. When my uncle told me he’d be at the comic book shop he used to work at, I jumped at the opportunity to meet him in person and it was easily one of my favourite moments of the year. Like with other notable people who work in the world of entertainment, I was flustered mess haha. I just about able to talk to him coherently introducing myself to him and being able to ask him about his creative process and Landis was incredible. He was just charismatic, engaging and larger-than-life as he appears when I see him online. Just listening to him speak and respond to people is fascinating and I was so glad to get my copy of Superman: American Alien signed and get my photo taken with him..

So yeah that was my little account of my recent two week session in Canada, it was a great two weeks away. It really felt like time got away from us and I wish I had more time to explore and go out for session of dancing or do karaoke or visit other family members. But in the end I had fun and I will go back in the next two years, hopefully. Thanks for reading and look out for some reviews in the near future. πŸ˜€

My Thoughts on the First Image of Michael Fassbender in Assassin’s Creed

So Assassin’s Creed, it feels like the talk of this film being adapted into live-action has been going on forever, however after various setbacks and talk, this film is finally going into production and has a pretty solid cast. But we’ve yet to see what Michael Fassbender would look like in the popular assassin attire, but today an image dropped online and feel the need to talk about it.

So here’s some information on the film and the image below from ComicBookMovie:

After being in development for many years due to minor setbacks, the Assassin’s Creed movie is finally moving forward and is all set to commence principal photography on Monday, August 31. And now Yahoo has even released our first look at the big-screen video game adaptation which features leading man Michael Fassbender as Callum Lynch, an original character. Instead of retelling stories from the games, the film will apparently bring all new characters to that world, per Yahoo:

Callum Lynch (Michael Fassbender) discovers he is a descendant of the secret Assassins society through unlocked genetic memories that allow him to relive the adventures of his ancestor, Aguilar, in 15th Century Spain. After gaining incredible knowledge and skills he’s poised to take on the oppressive Knights Templar in the present day.

mf-assassinscreed

So let’s talk about that image above first. Okay, looking at this objectively or as a person who is not well-versed in the Assassin’s Creed series, they may find this first image of Fassbender pretty cool. I mean the costume is pretty badass, is really detailed and looks similar to the original. But then there’s the only side of the coin, if you’re a hardcore fan your first impressions will probably be one of disgust. Fassbender doesn’t look like Altair, Ezio, Conor, Edward or Arno and the costume doesn’t match any of theirs either, and so far on a few sites I’ve seen most fans dismiss this image completely and think that the film is doomed indefinitely. As for me I’m not a hardcore AC fan but I have followed the series from what my friend has shown me and what I’ve researched over the years, so when I saw this image I had a good look stare. And my main impression is: Nice. I mean Fassbender looks a little slim in the costume when compared to the assassins in the games, but overall I like the pose, the costume and the placement of the hidden blades. This is one of those “inspired by” costumes that feels like an amalgamation of what’s come before but also like its crafted something of its own.

As for the story, considering how long the series has gone on for and the amount of mythology that now exists, this film would have plenty of material to draw from. However from the description it would seem like the filmmakers have decided to create and original story and characters, but are keeping the core elements of the game intact. I was hoping for a more direct adaptation of the games with the Italian era of Altair and/or Ezio, but I guess we’re going to Spain instead. I just hope the story is good.

In the end I’m down for this film, I’ve always been curious and costume makes me a little more interested in the film. Though I am curious to see how the fans take to it online and whether they’ll warm up to the film or if they’ll tear it apart. So people what do you think of the first image of Fassbender in Assassin’s Creed? Please be sure to comment below and I’ll see ya on the next blog post, laters! πŸ˜€

The Fantastic Four First BTS Images Revealed & In-Depth Talk From Josh Trank

Yo yo people of the internet, time for some very important film news that comes in the form of images and an interview from the Fantastic Four reboot. The following info comes from ComicBookMovie:

a7NANG0 KCWgTkN

While there’s been secrecy and a lack of promotion for this year’s reboot of Marvel’s First Family, Collider has exclusively revealed two of the first official production images fromΒ The Fantastic Four, as well as an extended interview with director Josh Trank and producer Simon Kinberg. The former filmmaker features in one of the behind-the-scenes images, while the other features the latter on-set alongside actor Michael B. Jordan, aka Johnny Storm, who appears to be suited up in his Human Torch suit. The interview is quite lengthy, but Collider has provided someΒ highlights which include Trank saying that they “consciously decided to not release anything official” until now, the story is essentially “a modern telling of how these four iconic characters came together and came to be,” Philip Glass and Marco Beltrami are scoring the film, recent additional photography was nothing major, and “the original shoot was seventy-two days and they were on-schedule and on-budget.”Β Regarding influences on The Fantastic Four, Josh Trank further explains that Canadian filmmaker David Cronenberg and his films,Β Scanners & The Fly, are big influences for the look of the reboot, while there are alsoΒ “influences of what Jack Kirby and Stan Lee were doing in the 60’s all the way up into the present day,”Β plusΒ “The Ultimates was also an influence and a lot of the science specifics are there.” Trank and Kinberg also reveal that they are very influenced by Marvel Studios’ shared universe even thoughΒ “it’s tricky to combine X-Men and Fantastic Four because the X-Men films don’t acknowledge the Fantastic Four and The Fantastic Four takes place in the same time period as the modern day X-Men movies.” Furthermore,Β Trank reveals that his first cut of the movie was “around 2 hours and 10 minutes,” but the final run time “will probably be between 2 hours and 2 hours and 20 minutes.” As for Easter eggs, producer Simon Kinberg teases that “there’s a lot in the movie and there’s one on the teaser trailer (which will be premiering in three weeks with Kingsman: The Secret Service on February 13) that people can freeze frame and try to find.” To read the interview in its entirety, make the jump to Collider.

All I can say is THANK YOU and IT IS ABOUT TIME! I can understand that you don;t want to release any old form of information or imagery without it being of the best quality, but considering how close the film is and the fact that nothing official has shown up until recently is still ridiculous. But that aside we have two behind-the-scenes images and some comments from Josh Trank. Let’s talk about that top image first which features Michael B. Jordan (everyone’s favourite black man) in a black padded suit, looks kind of cool and interesting, though if the filmmakers are actually getting rid of the blue-coloured suited and going for some generic black look then I will be disappointed. The thing that gets me most happy about this article is Trank’s comments. for the longest time, the only reason I have given this film the benefit of the doubt is because he is at the helm, Chronicle was awesome and this man knows how to direct good action and character pieces so I just hope he can make that work for the FF too. Seems like he is acknowledging the comics (which is always a good thing) and understands the complexities with crossing the X-Men and FF universes together, so it’ll be interesting to see what happens down the line if he is around to the direct the sequel. I’m not stupidly excited for this film, but I know it is going to be interesting at least. Can’t wait for that trailer to drop today so I can finally have a look this film properly.

How I Feel In Pictures #7

Good day to you ladies and gents and welcome to the 7thΒ edition ofΒ How I Feel In Pictures. In these posts I’ll upload a piece of art that I’ve drawn that basically represents how I feel at that current point in time. I hope you’ve had a great and productive Christmas, today is Boxing Day, I’m bored, so I’m here to give you a blog post of happiness haha. This time we have a few that I’ve bunched together.

Check out my set of pictures below:

Latest Sketches

So here we have some of the art I’ve been working on from October to December.

As you can see above, there are for pictures. from left to right, the first is of Goku in Super Saiyan 3 form from Dragon Ball Z, then there’s Princess Rosalina from Super Mario Galaxy, on the bottom left we have Kirby of Nintendo dressed up as Ichigo Kurosaki from Bleach and finally we have Sonic and Tails from the Sonic the Hedgehog series. If you go from bottom to top you can see that the amount of detail has improved somewhat and while it is looking good so far, I know that my Photoshop skills can get better, that they can improved and become super powerful. All of these pictures I did on my computer, but they’re all based on pen and pencil sketches which you can see below:

Sketch Originals

As you can see above, these are the original pieces of art, some look prettier than others and they were all drawn at different times, on from 2006/7, another from 2010 and two from 2014. I drew all of these with the intention of making them better, more finished-looking pieces of work and now this year I feel like I’ve done it. I have many more sketches that I want to upgrade into digital work which you’ll probably see in near future so kee your eyes peeled.

Thanks for reading and checking out my artwork yo. If you wish to see more of my artwork be sure to head toΒ thehypersonic55.deviantart.com to see more. Until the next time, laters! πŸ˜€

The Avengers: Age of Ultron Teaser Trailer Review: IT IS GLORIOUS!

Howdy ladies and gents, time to talk about the big news that dropped on the internet last night, I am of course talking about the frigging trailer for The Avengers: Age of Ultron! Now officially this trailer was meant to come out next week with an episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., but then some secret person leaked itΒ online and set the fans into a frenzy looking for it after it got taken down. But the damage was done and so Marvel decided to release officially and so it now here we are. Crazy story right? Anyways Let’s talk about the badass trailer yo.

Check it out here:

All I can say after watching that trailer is fuck me, next year can’t come quick enough. If I was excited for this film before, then the hype has gotten to a level beyond my body, the hype is transcending into space! While teaser trailers vary in the amount of footage that you get given, this trailer gave you more than you expect but just enough to keep you speculating and wanting more.

There is so much going on in this film it is pretty insane, I don’t even know where to begin. I’ve seen the trailer like 4 times now and I want to watch it some more but I don’t want to overdo it. So what can we see in this trailer? Well for one the tone is incredibly darker than before, bordering on disturbing. The low lighting, use of yellow/brown filters, slow motion shots and use of eerie music ( “I’ve Got No Strings” from Pinocchio)Β create an atmosphere very different from the last film, this is more Winter Soldier than Avengers and I love it. The film looks like it takes place on a much more global stage than before with the different locations on display, and I love how there are so many shots on the individual Avengers in separate locations whether it be Thor in a pool of water, Bruce Banner in the snow, Hawkeye in the woods or Black Widow dropping out of a plane on a motorcycle, it is all too cool. A long time ago just after The Avengers came out, I remember Joss Whedon saying that if he were to maker a sequel that he would make a more personal, character-driven film with a darker tone and not make a film that was bigger and larger than the first just for the sake of it. And now seeing this trailer I’m finally starting to get an understanding of his vision and my, what a gorgeous vision it is.

This trailer gives you so much and more, it’s kind of hard to sit back andΒ think about it as your head might explode from all the epicness. But since this is a review here are a few highlightsΒ to touch upon like:

  • OMG, Ultron Is Such A Badass: I thought Loki would be only good villain the MCU would ever have, but this guy, he looks like he’s ready to steal that title. Straight from the beginning this character narrates the trailer with his sinister voice off-screen and his dialogue is delivered with such style, it is almost like poetry, EVIL POETRY! Quotes like “I’m going to show you something beautiful.”, “You want to protect the world, but you don’t want it to change.”, “You’re all puppets, tangled in strings.” And finally the best one, “There are no strings on me.” Ooooooh, that last quote just sends shivers down my spine yo. Plus it also helps that the dude looks so badass, clearly he goes through a visual transformation and ends up looking so sleek and scary in his final form.
  • Hulk Vs. Iron Man: While I don’t know how much of the film thisΒ willΒ take up, just seeing the Hulkbuster armour in live-action gets me giddy. For the longest time I’ve known about it and see in it in comics but now that it exists in live-action I am hyped! Seeing Hulk and Iron fighting in the streets, causing chaos, smashing cars and food stands, it is mental.
  • Looks Like Things Have Gone To Shit, Again: After all this time you’d think our heroes would deserve more time to chill out, but nope. The world looks like it is in danger again, people are running around in fear, police are shooting guns in the streets, there are loads of psycho robots everywhere, the Avengers are divided and fighting each other. It’s all-out chaos!
  • Tony Stark Is In A Bad Place And He Knows It: We all know that it is Stark who creates Ultron in this film and we see that he is regretful of his decision in this film, obviously creating aΒ crazy robot hell-bent on taking over the world will do that. But you cans see it in his face and Thor, I assume isn’t too happy about it either when he grabs Tony by the throat and holds him up against a wall. I’m sure he isn’t the only one who will want a piece Tony after this mistake.
  • Look, It’s Andy Serkis! WhoΒ Is HeΒ Playing?: For a while now we’ve known that Serkis was involved in this film, not only consulting on the motion capture of Hulk, but also having a secret role and then he appears out of the blue in this trailer for a quick second. And I’m like “Oh my god! Who will he be playing? I WANT ANSWERS!” Apparently according to some fans on certain websites I have seen they reckon he is Klaw, a supervillain who apparent have crossed paths with the Avengers before but mainly with Black Panther. So of he is a villain and someone related to Black Panther’s mythos, does that mean we are closer to a film with the king of Wakanda?
  • Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch Seem To Play A Big Part In This Film: You can see them early on in a crowd of scream people, possibly protesting and they look like they haven’t gotten their powers yet. Later on you see them individually using their powers and atone point together with Ultron! Looks like they will be playing both sides of the field from what I can gather here. The both look pretty cool and while we haven’t seen that much of Quicksilver, I think he looks pretty cool so far, but he does have a lot to prove after everyone pretty love the X-Men: Days of Future Past edition.

So here’sΒ my top 6 moments from the trailer:

1) Final shot ofΒ Ultron at the end ofΒ the trailer

2) Hulkbuster armour suit up

3) Ultron robots everywhere

4) Thor grabbing Tony by the throat

5) Andy Serkis

6) Seeing Quicksilver & Scarlet Witch in action

news_illustre_1414044541_453

In conclusion our first look at Avengers: Age of UltronΒ is nothing short of awesome. The is so much more to this trailer that I have yet to mention in this review but if I did we’d be here forever. Basically I’m over the moon about this film teaser and I’m totally into the darker tone, seeing the Avengers divided and of course seeing the badassery of Ultron. If Joss Whedon, Kevin Feige and the people at Marvel Studios have this film right like I think they have, then 2015 will be the year of heaven for us comic book fans,

So what do you think of the teaser trailer forΒ Avengers: Age of Ultron? Does it make you feel the hype more or less than before?Β Whatever your thoughts are be sure to leave them below and I’ll see ya on the next blog post yo! πŸ˜€

How I Feel In Pictures #6

Good day to you ladies and gents and welcome to the 6thΒ edition ofΒ How I Feel In Pictures. In these posts I’ll upload a piece of art that I’ve drawn that basically represents how I feel at that current point in time. These days I’m in a strange point in my life where I’m totally excited for the future in terms of my dream career, however, I’m not in the best of places in my life either, so I’m glad that I have my art to help keep me together in times of crisis.

Check out my latest picture below:

Sonic Again6

“You’re Too Slow!” That quote never gets old.

As you can see above, I’ve drawnΒ another Sonic picture. I’m a massiveΒ Sonic fan and since this video game character is the main reason I draw, I always end up coming back to him as a source for my drawing. I’ve been doing a lot of work on Adobe Photoshop since the summer and I’ve been trying to find ways to make my pictures better by experimentingΒ with colour and lighting, and I feel like I’m finally making some progress in that department. Getting the right colours for Sonic has been a very important element of the colouringΒ process and I feel like this is my most complete digital piece of art so far. While I’m still not too sure about the lighting and shadows, for a first time effort I do think it’s half bad.

And like my picture back in How I Feel In Pictures #4, this current picture is based on an old sketch. Have a look below:

Sonic Again Upgrade

As you can see, the main line work from the original to the new version is pretty much the same with a few variations here and there.Β The old sketch on the rightΒ is one I did back in 2007 and after seeing the picture in anΒ old sketchbook I thought I’d upgrade it.

All in all I think it is a success and I’m looking forward to making more technical stuff in Photoshop in the near future. Thanks for reading yo πŸ˜€

How I Feel In Pictures #5

Good day to you ladies and gents and welcome to the 5thΒ edition ofΒ How I Feel In Pictures. In these posts I’ll upload a piece of art that I’ve drawn that basically represents how I feel at that current point in time.Β I can tell you now that I am feeling good at this point in time, while nothing special is going on in my life, during Sunday and Monday I had two days off of work and I’ve been enjoying my free time and during that freedom I had a moment of inspiration to draw and the end result is below.

Check it out below:

10504950_10152192648180755_8692651423825222752_o

Now say it with me people: “I AM GROOT! πŸ˜€

As you can see above, I’ve drawn Groot from Marvel Studios’ Guardians of the Galaxy, you may ask, “What brought this on?” Well, after watching GotG for the third time in the cinema last week I really got back into the groove with the film and then started listening to the Awesome Mix Vol. (the great collection of songs from the film) and I just thought to myself that I just had to draw one of my favourite characters from the film. I was just going to do a cool sketch in my new notebook, but then I brought the pen into play and started going hard with theΒ detail. I feel like I did a job considering that I wasn’t drawing at my normal A4 size of paper. Here’s a comparison between the original image and my sketch.

Groot-sketch-comparison

It is definitely a not as close in terms of placement of certain body parts, but again this wasn’t a very long sketch so I do like how it turned out. In the end, I love Groot, most people love Groot and I just wanted to show my love by drawing him. Sometimes I do surprise myself when I draw because I never know how far I can go, especially on such a small-scale like this. This is definitely the start of many GotG pictures to come yo!Β πŸ˜€

How I Feel In Pictures #4

Good day to you ladies and gents and welcome to the 4thΒ edition ofΒ How I Feel In Pictures. In these posts I’ll upload a piece of art that I’ve drawn that basically represents how I feel at that current point in time.Β Well I’m feeling decent at the moment, work has beenΒ murder but in between all of that chaos I’ve been all creative in my head and felt like making stuff all the time and my latest piece of work is something simple, yet affective.

Check it out below:

Mordecai

Yeah it’s Mordecai from Regular Show!

As some of you may know I got my laptop back this week, but what I didn’t mention was how most of my programs were erased which meant that I had to obtain all of them all over again, including Adobe Photoshop. Luckily I’m back in the groove and over the last two days I made this, a picture of Mordecai from Regular Show which was an update from a sketch I did in my notebook ages ago. Check it out below:

Mordecai's Upgrade

As you can see it pretty similar but very different at the same time. I do like the way this picture turned out but I also feel like more could be done, I guess now is as good a time as any to experiment and get things to look as fancy as possible, probably will mess around shading and colour layering or something. πŸ˜›

In conclusionΒ I feel like this is the start of something, hopefully this one picture will create a snowball effect and I’ll start doing more art on a consistent basis. Plus I wanna do more Regular Show stuff because I love that cartoon so much! πŸ˜€

The Avengers: Age of Ultron Images Galore! My Impressions! :D

Howdy ladies and gents, time for some film news and photo discussion. Earlier on today something amazing happened, the first set of official images for The Avengers: Age of Ultron dropped online and they looked so cool that I had to get on my blog and talk about them before the day was out. Just have a look at all the goodness below:

AvengersUltron

NM5t3He Captain-America-Thor_612x380 UhjddrZ 1nFpiRd LifT0Z7 QDcCFyx 6d6nbSP RCWfTRY

Well this is what I call a good day yo. When the cover photo for Iron Man, Captain America and Ultron debuted on Entertainment Weekly earlier on today I thought that was all the juice we were gonna get for today, but then out of nowhere bare images for this film dropped on several websites and I saw them all and then freaked out. I saw all of these images and I was just like “Holy crap, this shit is happening and it looks AWESOME!” I mean I’ve always known about this film’s coming in 2015 and it is pretty much my most anticipated film of next year, however since it isn’t in the press that much besides the odd interview and varying amounts of set photos released, but now we have some proper official images mixed in with screenshots featuring the whole cast in action in various places that gives us just a bit more information as to what to expect in the film.

So here’s just a few quick thoughts I wanted to summarise below:

  1. Ultron looks badass, I mean he is a robot who has been drawn in a very specific manner that has made him hard to mess up and easy to translate into live action similar to Iron Man’s suit. But I am still glad to see that his look is still robot, sleek, detailed and sinister-looking with the red eyes at least I think they’re eyes lol)
  2. Seeing Cap and Thor together like that is just lovely, they are two of my favourite Avengers and they look just as cool as ever. But Cap looks just that bit better as his uniform is finally looking professional enough that he belongs on a superhero team and didn’t get his costume from a Halloween shop
  3. Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver still look good, but aren’t any different from most of the set pictures we’re seen in the past
  4. Seeing Bruce Banner and Tony Stark together is just joy to my eyes, Bruce and Tony’s small science conversations were some of my favourite moments in The Avengers and to see them again having their little bromance science talks is a great joy to me. Also seeing Banner in that lab coat just scream of the classic Banner character from the comics! πŸ˜€
  5. Then there’s the return of Black Widow and Hawkeye who I’m glad to see back in this film. Both of them are looking great, but Hawkeye is looking a lot better with his new costume, running around in the forest avoiding explosions, looks like he’s gonna be badass
  6. But what could possibly be my favourite image is seeing Steve Rogers, Clint Barton and Tony Stark together joined with none other than Rhodey aka War Machine together in what I could only image to be the inside of Stark Tower. It looks like they’re just chilling out and Rhodey may just be the voice of reason again. Just to see them all together is a beautiful scene here and the fact that Rhodey is near all this just makes me think that there may be a place for him on the team or at least future plans for him and the Avengers eventually

So what do you think of the latest images from Avengers 2? Does it fill your heart with excitement, leave you uninterested or are you wanting something more? Whatever your thoughts are be sure to leave them below and I’ll see ya on the next blog post yo! πŸ˜€

How I Feel In Pictures #3

Good day to you ladies and gents and welcome to the 3rd edition ofΒ How I Feel In Pictures. In these posts I’ll upload a piece of art that I’ve drawn that basically represents how I feel at that current point in time. Its been bloody ages since the last time I did one of these posts, but I have had a lot of stuff to do and not much time to draw. But today I had a moment of inspiration and I got sketching.

So here’s my latest picture:

20140612_163555

So yeah for those uninformed, this is Mario, Mega Man, Sonic and Pac-Man of the video game franchises Super Mario, Mega Man, Sonic the Hedgehog and Pac-Man.

Recently Nintendo did something amazing during this year’s E3 and revealed that gaming icon, Pac-Man, would be joining Super Smash Bros. on Wii U and 3DS. Loads of people hoped it would happen, many said it would happen and there were rumours aplenty suggesting he would eventually make it into the game, but to see it obviously confirmed from Nintendo just sent the gaming community into a frenzy. Smash Bros. was already gonna be one of the biggest games of the year and those people at Nintendo just keep finding ways to make the game better. For me it is just insane to see these four titans of gaming in one place, never would I have thought this would have happened when I saw a kid in the 90’s. Seems like Nintendo knows its fan base and knows how to treat these 3rd party characters better than the companies that own them. πŸ˜›

Anyways I knew once this became news I had to draw something. While the picture doesn’t look as badass as I had pictured it in my head, at the same time it looks better than I expected. I’ve never drawn Pac-Man or Mega Man before, so I’m happy with the way they turned out, especially Mega Man. Drawing this was actually pretty hard as I ended up redrawing the poses for Mario, Sonic and Mega Man a few types over, especially Mega Man, he was bloody hard to do properly.

In conclusion I’m in a good place right now, Smash Bros. has me in a good groove and I like the feeling haha. This will hopefully be the start of several picture dedicated to these icons because I’m in too good a mood about Pac-Man’s inclusion in Smash Bros. 4 to not draw more.
