Batman vs. Superman’s Batstuit and Batmobile Revealed!

Howdy ladies and gents, again I return to my blog about some news in the world of media that has just broke. Now every once in a while something of some degree of importance drops on the internet that blows the whole thing up and it seems like Zack Snyder has done it again as we have a our first look at not only the new Batmobile but also the new Batsuit.

Check it out below:

first-batman-suit-and-mobile-revealed

So what are my initially impressions? Well it kind of went like this: “Erm, I don’t know how I feel about this… Though one thing is clear, the ears on the cowl are too small!”

I hate to go all fan boy on one single image, but like many other fans across the world I have my idea of what Batman should look like in a live-action film, but obviously I’m not a filmmaker and since everything is constantly being changed and modified for live-action superhero films, it should come as no surprise that there are some changes along the way.

Anyways, let me talk about the Batmobile first and then talk about the suit.

The Look of The Batmobile

In terms of the car, I like it. That little teaser image that got dropped online a few days ago gave us a rough I idea of what to expect and I think everyone’s thoughts were correct; that Batman’s new ride is gonna be a fusion of the Batmobile looks from the Tim Burton and Christopher Nolan films. I think it has a nice, sleek design with an armoured look which is still practical. Stylish and practical is what I’m getting from this image. Now obviously the whole car isn’t shown here but from what I can see it looks pretty nice.

The Look of The Batsuit

Now let’s talk about the bigger aspect of the image, the new look of Batman. Now I love Batman’s costume in general, its cool, badass and unique. In live-action the suit’s only ever looked like the comics once and then was in the fist two Tim Burton films (which the exception of the colour grey). The Dark Knight Trilogy did a decent job with their versions of Batman’s suit but they never did connect with me like other superheroes. So now we have then latest live-action suit and to be honest I’m in two minds about. While it does look cool with the cape and nicely shaped cowl, I’m not keen on the look of the suit and the fact that it doesn’t have that classic look to it. Plus the ears on Batman’s cowl are small, I hate for such a tiny, insignificant and stupid thing to bother me, but it has bothered me since I kid. Batman’s ears just need to be a certain height or I get a bit grumpy. My guess for the look of the suit is that they are adapting it from  Frank Miller’s The Dark Knight Returns in which Batman was a bit older, chunkier and sported a new suit and Batmobile. I guess if the filmmakers are going that route with the film and are actually going adapt that story for the sake of this upcoming film then this image makes a lot more sense and if it is their intention then I’m down.

Conclusion

So yeah in conclusion while I’m not over the moon like some fans are on several of the sites I’ve checked today, I’m definitely intrigued by this new imagery and am interested to see what comes next.

So what do you make of this image of Batman’s new suit and vehicle? Are you down with it or do you have something to complaint about? Whatever tour thoughts are leave them in the comments below! 😀

Zack Snyder Officially Set to Direct Justice League!

Howdy ladies and gents, time for some film news and this is definitely something worth talking about as we have some pretty massive news emerging from the realm of comic book movies as you can see from the following info that comes from superherohype:

Justice-League-Bar-640

Justice League feature film is not only officially on track today, but has also announced a director. The Wall Street Journal reports that Man of Steel helmer Zack Snyder will make the ensemble blockbuster his follow-up to 2016’s Batman vs. Superman.

“It will be a further expansion of this universe,” Warner Bros. president of worldwide production Greg Silverman tells the outlet. “’Superman vs Batman’ will lead into ‘Justice League.’”

Although no Justice League cast is official at this stage, the project is likely to again star Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman and Ray Fisher as Cyborg (with a view that other JLAers are expected to be announced in the future).

The article also offers a slightly less optimistic update on the status of a Wonder Woman solo film, noting that, while the studio is open to the idea, they feel the right script has not yet been found.

UPDATE: The Hollywood Reporter‘s Borys Kit posted the following tweet, indicating that Batman vs. Superman and Justice League will shoot back to back and that we may see the latter as early as 2017.

twitter justice league update

Well damn, seems like the people over at Warner Bros. and DC have finally grown some balls and decided to make an announcement that’ll shock and excite their audience. So we finally have the announcement that there is a Justice League film.. And it isn’t Man of Steel 2 aka Batman Vs. Superman! Well with this announcement, I think anyone who was sceptical about this new Man of Steel sequel secretly being Justice League can put those rumours to rest, but who could blame people for thinking that it was the new JLA film? The amount of cast and characters that were being introduced was mad and very in line with the JLA. That being said I guess Batman Vs. Superman will probably be something similar to Iron Man 2, where it introduces characters who will play a bigger role in future films.

I think the bigger aspect of this news story is the fact that Zack Snyder is directing. Now I don’t know if this is a good thing. I mean if you wanted the guy for the visual flair and great presentation, I take no issue there, but I’m curious why Warner Bros. doesn’t want to venture out and try getting a new director. Is Snyder really that great that he can handle more than just Superman, but also Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Cyborg, Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, etc? Who knows? Maybe the Snyder is really good at what he does, maybe the studio don’t want to lose him, there are a number of factors that could come into play.

Ane then of course there is that 2017 release date and the fact these films may shoot back to back. Shit, that’s quick, but it’s also smart and I like that. Again if this is al true, then the wheels are in motion which means that DC and Warner Bros. may not actually be the scaredy cats some have believed them to be. But hey, I won’t believe anything until filming happens and we get those online photos and videos of these comic book films going down.

Anyways that’s my thoughts on this new announcement, how about you lot out there, what do you think of this news? Is it good or bad? How do you feel about Snyder directing Justice League or the idea that both films will be shot back to back? Please comment below and let me know! Laters! 😀

LATE NEWS: Captain America 3 Release To Against Batman vs. Superman in 2016!

Good day to you ladies and gents, sorry I’ve been MIA for a while but I’ve gone back home for the week and my computer is in the repair shop, so basically my blogging powers have been kind of grounded. HOWEVER… I’m not completely down and out. So today I’ll be talking about several news stories that broke over the last few days. The following info comes from superherohype:

captain-america-superman-batman-wonder-woman

“Following a rumor that was ignited last month, Marvel has confirmed this morning that Captain America 3 will officially debut in theaters on May 6, 2016 where it will face off against Warner Bros.’ Man of Steel follow-up, Batman vs. Superman. The second “Captain America” film, Captain America: The Winter Soldier debuted this past weekend to a new April opening record with $96.2 million.

“The Winter Soldier” directors Anthony and Joe Russo are set to return to helm the third film along with screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, who have penned both previous “Captain America” films.

Before debuting in his third solo film, Chris Evans will return as Captain America in Avengers: Age of Ultron, which hits theaters on May 1, 2015.”

Now this has been talked about a lot for a while now but it seems like Marvel are literally sticking their feet firmly to the ground by announcing this release date for their third Captain America film… And so the great stand-off begins. Now check it out, before Captain America: The Winter Soldier came out I would have told Marvel to shift from their 2016 release date because Batman Vs. Superman is much bigger film, it has legions of fans who have waited for this film for DECADES and it would just be bad timing for both films and the studios wouldn’t make as much profit as they would if these two films weren’t competing on the same day. That being said, after I saw The Winter Soldier and LOVE IT, my assessment of this situation has changed a great deal. Marvel Studios got the release date slot first, they also have a great track record of films behind them and after this film I am pretty sure there will be fans who will want to see what Cap is doing in his third solo film. What do DC and Warner Bros. have? One film, that has a constantly expanding cast, that is supposed to be a Man of Steel sequel is looking more like a Justice League film and has a lot to lose if the film fails whereas Marvel Studios can take a hit, recover and make another two or three films and keep moving.

Basically Marvel have nothing to fear regardless of the hype and potential of BvS because they have fan support in massive numbers and their confidence shows that they’ve got balls. If Warner Bros. and DC don’t move then we’ll have our first superhero film stand-off, two film competing against each other for your money. For me I’ll see both regardless because I’m not fussed, at the end of the day if both films end up being good then I’m all over it. However I really wonder what’s going on over at Warner Bros. and DC, will they move or will they stay on target?

Zack Snyder Talks Batman vs. Superman’s Costumes, Casting and Continuity

Howdy ladies and gents time for a bit of late film news. Now there has been a fair amount of news circulating about the Man of Steel sequel, but to be frank, I don’t care. Nothing substantial has taken place since the internet freaked out about Jesse Eisenberg being Lex Luthor. But now Zack Snyder has appeared out of the wood work with some interesting comments about the upcoming film and comic book fan backlash. The following info comes from superherohype:

batman-superman-ross-lee

300: Rise of an Empire hits theaters this Friday and writer and producer Zack Snyder is doing the publicity rounds. Earlier today, we brought you his response to Joel Silver’s recent comments about Snyder’s big screen take on Alan Moore and David Gibbons’ Watchmen. Now, Snyder has spoken with The LA Times, where he dropped a few details about the status of the much anticipated Batman vs. Superman.

“We’re getting ready to start shooting in a month or so,” Snyder says. “It’s going great. I’m very excited… We were just testing the suits, right? The new Batsuit and the Superman suit. It wasn’t even with the actors, right? It was just to see ‘em. I was standing there, they were standing next to each other and I was like, ‘Guys, someone take a picture! This has never happened before!'”

Snyder goes on to discuss the shared continuity of the 2016 release, hinting that the big screen release won’t necessarily adhere to any specific comic book storylines.

In ‘Man of Steel,’ we had to create an origin story,” he continues, “a mythology. There’s a lot of energy into that, which we love doing. Don’t get me wrong. But when you think about how fun it is too — now that you’ve got these characters — to now let ‘em loose. That’s fun! …[it] literally takes the ‘Man of Steel’ and ‘Batman’ universes and explodes them.”

Set to feature the return of Man of Steel’s Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Diane Lane and Laurence Fishburne, Batman vs. Superman features Ben Affleck debuting as Batman/Bruce Wayne, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman. Although more names are expected to be confirmed in the near future, Snyder says that online comments are, to him, a mixed bag.

“We know the material,” he promises. “Unfortunately, the fans don’t know the material. So, we’re casting according to what’s happening in the script. And we’re hoping that leads to enough originality, enough perspective on what we’re doing that you get something fresh and exciting. I understand the canon. I’m not crazy. I know what these characters need from a mythological standpoint.”

Batman vs. Superman hits theaters on May 6, 2016.”

Okay, so let’s cover his comments covered paragraph by paragraph. Firstly Snyder talks about the suits for Batman and Superman, he’s seen them, he likes them, great… But hey, we can’t see them. The fans don’t know how great these suits supposedly are. Until we get official images, the suits might as well be invisible.

Secondly the talks about creating the origin story in MoS and then meshing the worlds of Batman and Superman together too. He sounds really excited. Good for him. But again it is just it is all just talk, I want to believe that he knows what he is talking about, however MoS wasn’t the epic tale that I wanted for Superman, so this sequel is gonna have a hard time winning me over. But then this sequel has Batman in it, so it will at least be a lot better.

And finally Snyder basically takes a second to reaffirm that he and his team know the source material, that they’re doing their best and will put their own spin on it. For me I am not overly confident with him, Snyder makes things look good, no doubt about that. But I have yet to see a film of his that will end up in my favourite films of all-time. With all the changes and dark aspects that went into MoS that wasn’t how I would have done Superman, I just have a hard time trying to see this film being good. I want to believe that it’ll be great, I want a good Batman and Superman film, but I’m gonna have to be convinced with some visual material.

Jesse Eisenberg and Jeremy Irons Cast in the Batman Vs. Superman!

Well damn, the world of film news just gets more and more controversial by the day, in another crazy news story from the upcoming Batman vs. Superman film we get some new casting news and it already has the internet in a frenzy. Trust me when I say there is no way I’d miss out on talking about this myself. Anways the following info comes from superherohype:

rs_560x415-140131103011-1024.jesse-eisenberg-jeremy-irons-man-of-steel-013114

“Warner Bros. Pictures announced today that Jesse Eisenberg has been set to star as Lex Luthor and Jeremy Irons will play Alfred in the upcoming Zack Snyder untitled Superman/Batman film. The dual announcement was made today by Greg Silverman, President, Creative Development and Worldwide Production, and Sue Kroll, President, Worldwide Marketing and International Distribution, Warner Bros. Pictures.

Snyder stated, “Lex Luthor is often considered the most notorious of Superman’s rivals, his unsavory reputation preceding him since 1940. What’s great about Lex is that he exists beyond the confines of the stereotypical nefarious villain. He’s a complicated and sophisticated character whose intellect, wealth and prominence position him as one of the few mortals able to challenge the incredible might of Superman. Having Jesse in the role allows us to explore that interesting dynamic, and also take the character in some new and unexpected directions.”

The director added, “As everyone knows, Alfred is Bruce Wayne’s most trusted friend, ally and mentor, a noble guardian and father figure. He is an absolutely critical element in the intricate infrastructure that allows Bruce Wayne to transform himself into Batman. It is an honor to have such an amazingly seasoned and gifted actor as Jeremy taking on the important role of the man who mentors and guides the guarded and nearly impervious façade that encapsulates Bruce Wayne.”

Eisenberg received Academy Award, Golden Globe Award, Screen Actors Guild Award and BAFTA Award nominations for his starring role as Mark Zuckerberg in David Fincher’s The Social Network. He also starred in Woody Allen’s To Rome with Love and Louis Letterier’s Now You See Me. He next appears in The Double and NightMoves.

Irons won the Academy Award for his portrayal of Claus von Bülow in Reversal of Fortune. His work in the film also garnered him a Golden Globe Award. He won an Emmy Award and a Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Award for his performance in the TV miniseries “Elizabeth I,” opposite Helen Mirren, and recently starred on the small screen as Rodrigo Borgia in Neil Jordan’s highly acclaimed Showtime series “The Borgias,” for which Irons earned a Golden Globe nomination. He was recently nominated for a SAG Award for the PBS Great Performances television miniseries “The Hollow Crown,” for his performance as Henry IV.”

Ah shit, looks like crazy stories be happening again and it honestly makes for some great blogging material. I swear the people working on Superman Vs. Batman are doing this on purpose, just hiring actors to send the internet into a frenzy. First they did it with Ben Affleck, then Gal Gadot and now Jesse Eisenberg, its bloody mental. So let’s start with Irons first and then move onto the bigger casting news surrounding Eisenberg.

jeremyirons-alfredSo now we have Jeremy Irons as good ol’ Alfred Pennyworth. At first I was not overly jolly about his choice just be cause I wasn’t sure if he had the right look I personally imagined, plus I didn’t think of him as that old. But the more I’ve thought about it, the more I’m okay with it. He is a great and established actor, also at the age of 65 he fits into the role age-wise just fine and while I haven’t seen too many of the films he’s in what I have seen makes me feel like he’s up to the task.

Now let’s move onto the casting news that’s gotten loads of fanboys panties in a twist…

jesse-eisenberg-lex-luthorBAM! JESSE EISENBERG AS LEX LUTHOR! CRAZY RIGHT? WHO SAW THAT COMING? ANYONE WHO CLAIMS THAT THEY DID IS LYING! XD

So yeah I read this and I thought I was reading the article wrong, but nope, it’s confirmed and is as real as I am a Sonic-obsessed nerd. Firstly I don’t understand. Of all the people in the world, Eisenberg gets chosen. And don’t misunderstand me, I really like Eisenberg. He was good in Zombieland, brilliant in The social Network and pretty good in Now You See Me. But when I see him I don’t immediately think “Ah yeah Lex Luthor!” I dunno if Eisenberg has the emotional range to carry such an iconic villainous role, plus I can’t see it in his face. Plus Eisenberg as much as I like him he kind of acts the same way in most of his films so that doesn’t give me much hope for a great Lex Luthor interpretation. I’m gonna give the guy a chance because I like him, but damn he’s gonna have a battle on his hands trying to fight off all the haters that wished that it was Heisenberg (Bryan Cranston) and not Eisenberg as Lex Luthor.

So now I pass it onto you lot, what do you think of the casting news? Are you in support of it or do you loathe it with passion! Drop your comments below.

Ant-Man Moved Up to Batman vs. Superman’s Old Release Date!

Okay people I hope you’re ready for more movie news because I have more on the Marvel side of things and while it is just a tiny update, I think it is worth mentioning. The following info comes from superherohype:

antmanlogo

“When Warner Bros. Pictures announced last Friday evening that the studio was pushing back Zack Snyder’s Batman vs. Superman from a July 17, 2015 release to May 6, 2016, they also said that they were moving Joe Wright’s Peter Pan movie into the July 17 slot.

We didn’t think other studios would pass up the opportunity to take that date as well, however, and that is exactly what happened today, as Marvel Studios announced that director Edgar Wright’s Ant-Man has been moved up two weeks from July 31, 2015 to July 17, 2015.”

So it seems like we’ll be getting the next Marvel film in 2015 a little earlier by two weeks, nice. The only strange things about this is the fact that Ant-Man marks the step into Phase Three in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and it is happening just two months after Avengers 2. I am I the only one that finds that to be a bit strange? Prior to these films there has been at least a year between Phases like how there was a year between The Avengers and Iron Man 3, but next  year we’re hoping from one Phase to another. That kind of transition is gonna be a bit weird. That being said, considering how interconnected Ant-Man is to the Avengers in the comics and probably the future of this cinematic universe, it is no surprise that these films would be so close together and hopefully there will be easter eggs or post-credits scenes about one or the other.

Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman Contract Covers Three Films

Okay people, time for yet again another news story and this time it isn’t on a Marvel film, but on a DC one. Will wonders never cease? Anyways there’s been a lot of talk about Batman vs. Superman (most of which I don’t care about besides the recent setback the film had) and now we learn of Gal Gadot’s contractual obligations. The following information comes from superherohype:

galgadotwonderwoman

“Cast in the iconic role of Wonder Woman for Zack Snyder’s Batman vs. Superman late last year, actress Gal Gadot revealed today to Israeli entertainment show “Good Evening with Gai Pines” (via Batman-News) that her contract has her signed for three feature films. Although that may sound like exciting news for fans anxious for Justice League and/or Wonder Woman solo films, it should be noted that multi-picture deals tend to be the norm for big screen franchises and such a contract is not a definite sign of anything in development outside of the May 6, 2016 team-up.”

While this news story is small, at least we have an idea as to how far Gal Gadot’s contract as the character will go. Rather than being signed on to do a six-movie deal like what most of the actors and actresses at Marvel Studios, Gadot’s been signed on for half of that and from the number we can assume the films that she will be in are the following: Batman vs. Superman, Justice League and her own Wonder Woman film right? And with that in mind this means one of two things:

  1. DC and Warner Bros. are serious about making sure that she sticks to the role
  2. It doesn’t mean shit because while actors are always signed on to do more in follow-up films they’re easily interchangeable and can be dismissed at any time.

I’ve seen that a lot of hardcore fan boys hope that it’ll be the latter of these two options but I guess we’ll see how this unfolds when she gets into her role eventually in 2016 (damn that sounds so far away now).

Batman vs. Superman Pushed Back to 2016!

Howdy ladies and gents, I know I’m a bit late with this news story but this is something I COULD NOT leave unspoken about on this blog. While chilling at the cinema earlier on today between films I saw this news story and was pretty surprised to say the least. The following info comes from superherohype:

batman_vs_superman

2015? Haha not anymore it seems.

“Warner Bros. Pictures announced today that the release of Zack Snyder’s untitled Superman/Batman film has been moved from a July 17, 2015 release to May 6, 2016, the same date as a yet-to-be-titled Marvel Studios film.

According to the studio, this will give “the filmmakers time to realize fully their vision, given the complex visual nature of the story. The decision was made following the shift of the start of production to second quarter of this year.”

The studio has also set a July 17, 2015, worldwide release date for its as-yet-untitled all-new Peter Pan adventure. Joe Wright will direct the epic live-action film about the boy who would never grow up, created by J.M. Barrie.

The dual date announcement was made by Dan Fellman, President, Domestic Distribution, and Veronika Kwan Vandenberg, President, International Distribution, Warner Bros. Pictures.

In making the announcement, Fellman stated, “We are happy to take advantage of these coveted summer dates, which are perfect for two of our biggest tentpole releases. We share the fans’ excitement to see DC Comics’ most popular figures, Superman and Batman, together on the big screen for the first time, which will now be arriving in theatres in May 2016. Peter Pan has delighted people of every generation for more than a century, so we are thrilled to bring him back to the screen next summer for today’s moviegoers,”

Kwan Vandenberg added, “We know that there is already great anticipation building for the next Super Hero film from Zack Snyder, and we are equally eager to see what he has in store for Superman and Batman as they share the big screen for the first time ever. The summer release corridor is also perfect for Joe Wright’s ambitious new Peter Pan adventure, reimagining the ageless story of the beloved and forever-young hero for audiences worldwide.”

Zack Snyder’s Superman/Batman film stars Henry Cavill, reprising his role as Superman/Clark Kent, and Ben Affleck as Batman/Bruce Wayne. The film will also reunite Man of Steel stars Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane, and also stars Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman/Diana Prince.”

Well damn, fuck me indeed. Did not even see this coming. So what are my first impressions? Well it’s kind of combination of the following statements: 1) “Haha!” 2) “GUTTED! For DC fanboys.” 3) “Well that sucks.” 4) “Well guess it gives them more time to work on the film then.”

I’m feeling a good few things right now in relation to the release date being pushed back. I mean 2015 is looking like the year of awesomeness for films and this film along with Avengers 2 was gonna be the showdown of the century for nerds and movie-goers everywhere. We had in back in 2012 with The Avengers went up against The Dark Knight Rises where fans still battle about that until this day and we could have had the same kind of fun competitive nerd war again. But now that prospect has been taken away from us. And in truth I am disappointed, I feel like between now and 2015 there would be plenty of time to craft a good cinematic adaptation of Batman going up against Superman and to know that its being pushed back is insane for 2 main reasons:

  1. You promised DC fans at Comic-Con last year and now know that they have to wait longer will not have them in a happy mood
  2. Warner Bros. and DC need to get their shit together, Marvel Studios basically own the superhero film genre and while not all of their films are hits, they’re at least pro-actively releasing material for their fans

Though with all this said it does give the filmmakers time to craft the film, take their time and actually make the best product possible. Because for Warner Bros. and DC if this film fails they will not only be a laughing-stock, but they will also feel the full force of the nerds as they rain all hell upon them with their horrible online comments and letters. As much as I’m not a fan of anything DC besides Batman, I would actually want to see a good Batman Vs. Superman film, I just don’t want to have to wait forever for it. By the time this film comes out I’ll be 26 yo. Don’t make me wait any longer DC, we’re not getting any younger here.

So what do you think of this announcement? Does it make you cry tears of sadness or jump for joy? Leave your comments below yo. 😀

Gal Gadot Cast as Wonder Woman in Batman vs. Superman!

Howdy ladies and gents, time for some superhero-related film news and after several uninteresting new stories I FINALLY have something to talk about! For the longest time DC and Warner Bros. have been hinting about new Justice League elements being added to the upcoming Batman vs. Superman film and now it seems like after all the rumours, something has come out as concrete. The following information comes from superherohype:

galgadotwonderwoman

“Warner Bros. has announced this morning that Gal Gadot, most well known for appearing in the “Fast & Furious” films, has landed the role of Wonder Woman/Diane Prince in Zack Snyder’s upcoming Batman vs. Superman film.

In a statement, Zack Snyder stated: “Wonder Woman is arguably one of the most powerful female characters of all time and a fan favorite in the DC Universe. Not only is Gal an amazing actress, but she also has that magical quality that makes her perfect for the role. We look forward to audiences discovering Gal in the first feature film incarnation of this beloved character.”

Batman vs. Superman will feature the return of Henry Cavill as Superman, facing off against Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman. Also starring Amy Adams, Diane Lane and Laurence Fishburne, the Zack Snyder-directed Batman vs. Superman hits theaters on July 17, 2015.”

4w5eru654354wtr

Well damn! Did not see this coming at all. I thought DC and Warner Bros. were still too afraid to venture outside of their boundaries with Batman and Superman films, but now they’re ACTUALLY doing it. These studio people and filmmakers are actually taking the first steps towards creating their own cinematic universe of DC characters. Now we finally have someone cast as Wonder Woman, and how do we feel about this? Erm, I’m not quite sure.

To be honest I am happy that at least ONE member of the JLA is finally making their film debut and it is great that is such an important female figure like Wonder Woman. But at the same the time it does raise some questions like 1) How much involvement will she have in this new film? And 2) Will she be fully introduced with a backstory or will she just be dropped in?

Also there is the choice of actress. Now Gal Gadot, she is a gorgeous woman, no doubt about that, Gadot has an incredibly beautiful face and a slender body. However I’m not sure if she is WW material. I mean I’ve only known her from the Fast & Furious series and she’s alright in those films, but I’ve not really seen her in much else to judge her acting skills. Also no offence to her but she is very on the slim side, anyone that knows WW knows that she is a strong and firm-bodied woman with tone and muscle too and in order to embody this role, Gadot is seriously gonna have to put on some weight and gym it up to the maximum. And lastly does Gadot have combat experience? Besides some of the action bits in the F&F films, I’ve never seen her in any proper fighting or combat-based stuff. WW is all about the combat, hand-to-hand combat and being able to move around with all the superhuman strength and agility. I hope Gadot will get some proper training and learn to fight hardcore, Gina Carano style and then some.

Overall while I’m glad they cast someone as WW, at the same time I’m not sure Gadot is the right choice. Hey I’m not hating, just expressing my opinion. I’m still kind of sad that Jaimie Alexander won’t be taking up the role because I think she has the screen presence, action experience and acting talent to pull off such a role. However I’m happy for Gadot and I hope she will do okay.

So now onto you people of the internet, what do you think of Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman? Are you down with her in the role or did you hope for someone else? Whatever your thoughts, drop them in the comments below and I’ll see ya on the next review! 😀 😀
