Good evening ladies and gents, as of now I’m here to report one of two late Marvel film news stories which I feel the need to talk about. The following information comes from superherohype:
“With less than two months to go before Captain America: The Winter Soldier hits theaters, The Walt Disney Company CEO Bob Iger has revealed that the Marvel Studios sequel will pave the way for 2015’s Avengers: Age of Ultron and that repercussions of the blockbuster’s storyline will also be felt on “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”
Iger did not reveal any specifics about what overall effect The Winter Soldier will have on the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but he did say that the storyline will “set critical events in motion” that lead to the May 1, 2015 release. In between the two films, Marvel will release James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy on August 1. Although it has already been revealed that the space adventure will expand on Thanos’ brief appearance during the post-credits of Marvel’s The Avengers, there’s no word yet on whether or not that particular film will relate directly to Age of Ultron.”
Even though this is a small segment of info it is definitely an interesting bit of info. Up until now there really hasn’t been any talk about how any of Marvel’s Phase Two films will tie-in into the upcoming Avengers sequel, but now we have an official confirmation that Cap 2 has an attachment to the sequel and that is very intriguing. One can only speculate as to what it is about the next Captain America film which will affect the next Avengers film. The only assumption I have is that possibly the people behind the resurrection of Winter Soldier may have something to do with Ultron or something like that. I’m not exactly the smartest speculator when it comes to comic book source material I’m not completely 100% familiar with. I hope that whatever it is, it is great and unexpected and leaves us fans wanting to know more.
