The Amazing Spider-Man Trailer 3

06 May

Howdy ladies and gentlemen and welcome to another blog post from your blogging friend, the hypersonic55! Today I wanted to talk about the last trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man that was released just days ago. If you haven’t checked it out, then take a look at the video below:

For me I have always been a bit hesitant about this new adaptation of Spider-Man because of not only my attachment to the Sam Raimi films, but also because of the direction the film was taking with the story and the characters involved. But slowly over the course of time the film has been swaying me over with its interesting set pictures and videos. Also all of the interviews I have watched and read with the director Marc Webb and our main actor Andrew Garfield has started to make me think that this Spider-Man film good actually be pretty good. As time has gone by The Amazing Spider-Man has just started to look better and better and even around the titan films like The Avengers and The Dark Knight Rises, this new film was definitely showing up on my radar. Now this new trailer has come out and my god, it is the best one yet!

I think the main issue I had with The Amazing Spider-Man was the fact that it hadn’t shown me a trailer like The Avengers or The Dark Knight Rises that made me shiver, that made me freak out or me shout, “I NEED TO SEE THIS FILM RIGHT NOW!!” The first teaser trailer really wasn’t all that and only provided a few glimpses of what the film could be or only things that the fans good pick up on. Granted it was rushed out after being leaked on the internet, but still it was pretty dull. So then around a few months ago we got the first proper full trailer (technically trailer number 2), the film started to look interesting with all of the interesting things we learnt about the characters, story and the scenes of Spidey fighting and swinging through New York and stuff of that nature. So by that point I was definitely interested. But still not overly swayed like I was for The Avengers or Batman.

Now this third trailer I’ve watched twice now and I have to say that this film actually looks pretty damn good. This trailer just has so much more to look at from the visual standpoint in terms of action scenes of Spidey fighting the Lizard or seeing him avoid the police. The scale of the film looks pretty big and GCI looks so much more improved and adds a new dimension to the film. There are a lot of POV shots in this trailer and many scenes that look like they are meant to be experienced in 3D. However one of the best aspects of this trailer is singing Spidey’s trademark humour, there is a scene where a robber and the line Spidey comes out with is simply incredible. That was the real selling point of this trailer. After seeing The Avengers my life was techincally complete and I forgot about a lot of the otehr films coming out this summer, but this new trailer has put The Amazing Spider-Man back on the map for me. I need July to happen right now! šŸ˜€
